Here are some interesting facts I learned this week. My son's class did an experiment with a microwave. First, they grew two small plants, then watered one from the tap, the other, they microwaved the water, cooled it and watered the second plant. I a very short time the second plant was dead.
I had always heard that microwaves were bad, but nowadays, everything is bad, or one day coffee is good, the next it's bad, soy is good, no, we take it back, it's bad. Who do you believe? I have to admit my microwave has gathered dust since my son told me that. How do I argue with a dead plant? I want to live and that didn't seem  helpful, simple.
I'm realizing that sometimes we over simplify complex things like the human body for instance. I love to study the puzzle of symptoms and where they came from. It all starts with one thing, then, like dominoes lined up on edge, they crash into each other. We may only notice the one that flew off the table at the end and hit the dog on the head, but follow each one backwards and you find the starting point.Treating the last, annoying symptom is the fastest way to get yourself in trouble because you just shut off the body's alert system, the engine light in your car so to speak. If you cut the wire the annoyance goes away, then sometime later your car blows up.
Young people feel like they have some time to be stupid and fix it later. That used to be the case, but our soil is so depleted, our food is so much more processed, polluted and sugary than it used to be that deficiencies and their army of symptoms and disease are not kept at bay until your senior years but show up in your 20's and 30's sometimes younger.
I was doing some research on heart attack symptoms in women ,knowing that symptoms are unusual and survival rates for first heart attacks is low and found a great website built by a doctor. There he had testimonies of about 20 women. Of these women I was shocked that only two were over 60, most were in there 40's and many in their 30's and several in their 20's and one of those was pregnant. I didn't know that you can have a heart attack with no issues of cholesterol, plaque or arterial disease, but simply by having a spasm of the arterial walls caused by a imbalance of a acetylcholine. Here is an explanation of it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetylcholine.
Now I need to see why this would become imbalanced. I start as I would with a sick plant. First you give it pure water, check for bugs, give it the proper environment and food. Most plants can be cured this way. Humans are not that simple but it's still a great place to start.
I represent Pharmanex because I love their science, studies and validating proof on the safety and efficacy of their supplements. I also know people who have been consistently on the products for over 20 years and they are as healthy as someone half their age, again, the proof is in the pudding.
If anyone wants to look over the science let me know. There are some videos here, www.scan.nsproducts.com.

I'll keep you posted on my research,

Davidson of Manitoba- Cancer Pioneer

Lately I've been reading Davidson Of Manitoba Cancer Pioneer. It's out of print now, so I got a copy from Canada, a birthday gift from my mom. I have been perplexed with the rise in cancer since 2007. The book was written in 1974 and although science has come a long way, there are still many valid observations Dr. Davidson made. One very interesting observation he made was that the pituitary glands in almost all postmortem cancer victims were enlarged. The pituitary has many functions including the production of human growth hormone. At first the doctor raised mice, gave them cancer through toxic exposure through the skin with sodium sulfide - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_sulfide and gas-works tar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_tar (If you read this you will find that 6% will give you cancer, but the FDA sanctions 5% solution to be safe. The uses are listed, most of them are on the skin, hmmm.)
(Note to self, wear gloves when handling toxic products), then he gave them a high vitamin diet and cured them and bred cancer resistant mice. The babies of these mice he killed and cooked into a slurry which he filtered and cooked several times, added saline and a preservative and injected it into hopeless cancer patients sent home to die. Surprisingly, they recovered. The only other thing he gave them was a high vitamin diet.He knew nothing of herbs, detoxing, good water etc... but he had great success. If you can get the book, give it a read.
Why study cancer, well, I have five children and currently three grandsons. I figure I may have to deal with this on a personal level at some point. I have buried two people I love to this dreaded monster already. The day you get it is not the day to pick up your first book on the subject. There are plenty of dead ends to keep you busy and some really incredible success' too.
Good news though, even though Dr. Davidson is dead now, a small company picked up his research and started making young tissue extract made from avian embryos (eggs) processed on the 10th day of fertilization  Dr. Davidson had moved to this method as it was easier to control and regulate. I have been taking it, off and on, for the last 6 months. I'm on it now and what I found is I don't get cold sores when I'm on it (at least 2 a day) my hormones balance out on the second or third month, no PMS, no monthly migraine, and my skin feels so supple and amazing. This product is so worth it, and if I am protected against cancer, I'm pretty dang happy. Here is a link where you can try it.

More to come as I work my way through this book. I am reading a book by Dr. Bernard Jensen also, I love his work. I'll keep you updated, until then, stay healthy, learn all you can and take good care of your body and mind.

The beginning

I'm sitting in Starbucks with my sweet hubby of 27 years jabbering away about how I would love to find a dairy alternative that actually tastes good, something I'm sure he cares nothing about, when he interrupts my long list of things I've tried and said, "You should start a blog!" Either I've worn him out with my curiosity about, well, everything, or he really thinks someone in the world may care about what I care about.

What do I care about? My family, my health, my finances and relationships. I'm tired of being poisoned and lied to by anyone trying to make a buck. I love digging into a subject and finding the real truth, why not do it with the rest of the world?

Not too long ago you could stay healthy almost by accident, just avoid a handful of evils or at least limit them and your golden. Now days, you have to worry about getting cancer from genetically modified popcorn at the movie theater drenched in chemicals and oil that makes birds die and cows go bald. We live in a time where a one vegetable snack which used to be healthy will now make you sick. What has happened?

I love those blogs out there where moms and their  kids grow their own food, post recipes and love the simplicity of a life well planned. I on the other hand am now an empty nester. I had five children and two dogs running around our half acre in Idaho, gardens, fruit trees, chickens the whole works. That was a lot of fun and a ton of work. I wake up now and want to go get coffee and study some things I've always been interested in but never had the time. I care about having nice nails and hair, but, I would love to find ways to have these things without filling my 47 year old body with solvents and chemicals. What did women wash their hair with in the dark ages anyway?? Last week was my hair experiment with eggs and a natural soap that left my hair feeling like a pile of dry spaghetti noodles left in a colander overnight. Three shampoos later, I've used more chemicals than normal! Ugh.
